Xunu Sweater

£7.00

The Xunu Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, featuring a saddle shoulder, set-in sleeve construction. The sweater is knitted mostly in stockinette stitch, with the saddle shoulders worked in a beautiful textured stitch.

You will begin by casting on for each Saddle shoulder band separately, then joining the bands with the back stitches and shaping the shoulders with German short rows. Then, you’ll knit until the desired armhole depth, incorporating armhole shaping. Next, the front shoulders are worked by picking up stitches along the saddle shoulder, shaping them with German short rows at the same time shaping the neckline, and knitting to the armhole depth with incorporated armhole shaping. The fronts and back are then joined at the underarm cast-on, and the body is knitted to the hem.

For the sleeves, stitches are picked up and German short rows worked to shape the sleeve cap. Continuing to the cuff from the shaped sleeve cap, decreases are worked to shape the sleeve, which is finished with a ribbed cuff.

Finally, the neckband is worked by picking up stitches along the neckline and working in 2x2 rib.
